David W. Levinson serves as Chairman & CEO of
L&L Holding Company, LLC, which he
co-founded
with Robert T. Lapidus in June 2000. L&L Holding
Company is a privately owned real estate investment
and development company. Since inception, L&L has
acquired assets approaching 5 million square feet of
commercial office space with an approximate value of
$3 billion including . In 2003, L&L received BOMA's
Renovation of the Year award for the renovation and
restoration of 150 Fifth Avenue. In 2008, the New York
Post recognized L&L as one of New York City's top
property owners. The New York Observer named
Mr. Levinson one of The 100 Most Powerful People in
New York Real Estate in May 2008.
Mr. Levinson's civic responsibilities include appointments to the Board of Trustees of the Intrepid Museum, The Board of Governors of the Real Estate Board of New York and Board Member of the Alliance for Downtown New York. Mr. Levinson served as the Chairman of the New York Academy of Art for four years and as a trustee for ten years. For twelve years, Mr. Levinson served on the Board of Trustees of The Allen Stevenson School, one of Manhattan's most prestigious boys' school.
In 2004, Mr. Levinson received the M. Anthony Fisher Memorial Award from the Association for the Help of Retarded Children and was honored by Symphony Space in 2007. In November of 2008, Mr. Levinson will receive the Israel Peace Medal from the State of Israel Bonds Real Estate Builders and Allied Industries Division.
