Patrick E. Kelleher serves as Director of Worldwide Security for the financial firm of Merrill Lynch. Prior to assuming his position with Merrill Lynch he was a member of the New York City Police Department for over 31 years. For the last four years of his N.Y.P.D. career he acted as the First Deputy Police Commissioner - the Department's second highest rank.

Starting as a patrolman on the streets of Brooklyn in 1969 he rose rapidly through the ranks serving in surpervisory positions within the Patrol, Organized Crime Control, Personnel, Detectives and Internal Affairs Bureaus. He served as both the Chief of Detectives and Chief of Internal Affairs.

At Merrill Lynch he is responsible, on a global basis, for Fraud Control, Corporate Security, the Ethics Hotline, Executive Protection and Physical Security for Merrill Lynch employees and property around the world. He has chaired the New York City Security Directors Round Table for the past four years, is a board member on a number of private security management organizations and sits on advisory committees to both local and federal law enforcement.

He served in the United States Army and holds a Bachelors Degree from City University of New York. He is an Elliss Island Medal of Honor winner and past President of the American Academy of Professional Law Enforcement. In 1999 he was the recipient of the Federal Law Enforcement Foundation's Community Leadership Award.
